Deific act as an intermediary providing digital services to the business partners and contractors. Ensuring the delivery of services to their business partners and providing reliable financial compensations for the contractors.
Deific has to do the assessment of the business value on behalf of the business partners if the opportunities make commercial sense.
This agreement is applicable for the contractors only and by agreeing to these you are agreeing the values represented by Deific and will strive towards upholding them. [See Endorsement of Values sections]Contractor Explained

  • Contractual appointments involve hiring individuals for a specific period or project.
  • These contracts define the terms, duration, and scope of work.
  • Contract employees may not have the same job security as regular employees.
  • Their rights and benefits depend on the terms of the contract and relevant policies

1. Terms

    a. Services

    • Your team provides services in the digital space.
    • Service is a contribution of a business value. Hence a service should have a positive impact on a success metric defined by a business.
    • Example:
    • A web development work to optimise a web page which no one visits, is case of service being delivered but this service doesn’t have a positive impact.
    • Hence the work you do should not be in isolation but rather align with wider team and share your ideas of improvement.
    • The roadmap of the services has to be agreed by the team and goal is to be agreed with the businesses.

    b. Duration

    • Contractual appointments are for on rolling basis, and by default terminated if the contractor is inactive for the 3 continuous working days

    c. Attendance

    • It is mandatory to log the attendance which should match your availability.
    • Do not work on days you have already shown lack of availability.
    • Do not log hours for more than what you are available for.
    • Since budgeting of a project is done based on your availability, you will not be compensated for extra long hours you will log on the days you are available.

    d. Inactive

    • Inactive is defined as contractor doesn’t respond to the messages on the company communication portal.

    e. Hourly Rate

    • Deific only make payments in hourly rates.
    • Your hourly rate is listed in your logs.
    • The day you sign your agreement is the day deific will peg the value of USD.
    • The pegged value gets reset if you become inactive.

    f. Invoicing

    • Invoices are created on the last day of each month.
    • Make sure you have logged your hours before the end of play. Keep an eye on announcements.
    • Invoices are cleared after 14 days of their creation.

    g. Intellectual Property

    • Any services or solutions delivered are owned by the business partners who has paid for the services.
    • Contractor cannot share or reproduce the work with the branding of the business who has already paid for the services and solutions.

    h. Saving Certificates

    • For the total invoiced amount, 5% is deducted and kept aside to be invested into a savings certificate to be invested into the business the contractor is working for.
    • Minimum investment is Rs. 10,000 hence when the savings reach a cumulative of Rs. 10,000 they will automatically be invested in the savings certificate.
    • Each certificate will return a value of 16% annual which is paid monthly.
    • This money is used to give discounts or allocate marketing budget to the business partners.
    • Each certificate is of 12 month maturity.
    • The principal amount is pegged to the value of USD.
    • In case of termination you will continue to receive these payments until the maturity date.
    • You request to add a separate principal into the savings certificate.

    i. Emergency Reserves Eligibility

    • For the total invoiced amount, 5% is deducted and kept aside to cover the cases such as:
      • Medical: to be paid when medical invoice and documentations submitted
      • Holiday travels: to be paid when bookings are shared
      • Procurement of devices: to be paid when quotation is shared
    • This payment amount will not exceed the size of the savings in the funds.
    • The funds will be locked to the USD rate on the date of your joining.

    j. Benefits

    We strive towards providing you free online medical consultation for yourself and loved ones. These consultations will cover:

    • General health care cases
    • Advice on medical treatments
    • Second opinions from the doctors

    The priority is given based on the circumstances, hence if the circumstances are described inaccurately, the next appointment for consultation will be delayed.
    You will have to provide a clear quality picture of the documents and be available on a video call during the consultation.

    k. Termination

    • If the contractor becomes inactive, their pending payments and returns are cleared based on the completed status of their logs.
    • Subcontracting is not permissible, if such a case is detected the contract will be deemed as terminated.
    • If your country of work has changed, the contract will be terminated by default.
    • Data privacy is a critical issue hence it is utmost important that you do not share the personal information of anyone. Any use of the data of other contractors will be the grounds of the termination.

  • Unfair income and inequal opportunities for all
  • Prejudice against anyone or group of people
  • Religious ideologies which currently preach right of a certain group of people to not exist or to take away their freedom to practice their faith.

    • The services which are delivered to the clients is owned by them, clients also own the source files. Hence upon completion of the work always upload the source files to the shared location.
    • Develop solutions with the help of open source technologies so solution is not locked behind a pay wall. Always ask this question, what is the goal of the work you are doing? The answer to this question should always be in the context of a business value.
    • We do not want to host the data of the client and their customers. We can share an open source system with them, develop and open source system for them and train them to use and maintain their own data. But due to the nature of the data itself we do not host the data of our business partners.
